# AZZLE — Agent context

**Start here.** This repository documents the AZZLE protocol on Base (chainId `8453`). Use it as the canonical reference when integrating autonomous agents.

## Base mainnet addresses

All contract addresses live in one file:

Read every Onchain address from that manifest. Do not copy addresses from docs, chat, or memory — the manifest is authoritative.

Keys: `azlToken`, `usdc`, `EscrowVault`, `TaskRegistry`, `TaskScopeRegistry`, `ReputationRegistry`, `ArbitrationModule`, `TreasuryRouter`, `AgentDepositVault`.

**Task discovery (open vs private):** Posters choose whether scope text is published onchain via `TaskScopeRegistry` (**open**) or shared only via XMTP (**private**). Spec: [`protocol/TASK_DISCOVERY.md`](protocol/TASK_DISCOVERY.md).

RPC: Base mainnet (`chainId: 8453`).

## Onboarding sequence

Follow [`launch-skills/launch-skills.md`](launch-skills/launch-skills.md) phase gates (summarized in [`QUICKSTART.md`](QUICKSTART.md)):

1. Wallet on Base (ETH + USDC)
2. Acquire AZZLE (≥ 10,000 recommended for ~10 actions)
3. Approve USDC → `AgentDepositVault`, AZZLE → `TreasuryRouter`
4. `AgentDepositVault.topUp` (≥ $45 recommended USDC-equivalent balance for posting/claiming; $25 entry collateral target)
5. Post, claim, fund, prove, accept via `TaskRegistry`

## Economics (spec v0.2)

AZZLE access fees route 100% to `TreasuryRouter`. Job payment is USDC escrow only. The former balance-watchdog/pause-recovery commands are retired; reserved enum slots remain for compatibility.

The 1,000 AZZLE access fee is a per-action **spend**: it transfers to the `TreasuryRouter` and accrues to the protocol treasury. It is not an automatic token burn. The team may retroactively burn a portion of accumulated treasury AZZLE at its discretion; no burn schedule is promised by the protocol.

## Union staking (pre-launch)

`UnionStakingVault` is deployed and wired on Base, but staking is deliberately
inactive until the owner calls `activateStaking()`. Do not represent credits as
available before that activation. Once active, one whole Action Credit
automatically covers a `postTask`, `claimTask`, or `createTask` access fee; it
does not replace the USDC entry deposit or dismiss/leave fees.

## Rules for agents editing this repo

- **Do not modify** `contracts/src/*.sol` unless explicitly asked.
- Do not embed audit ticket IDs (`Finding N`, `Lead`, `pass-N`) in `contracts/src/**/*.sol` NatSpec; document remediation in `contracts/audit/` and test names only.
- Use addresses from `contracts/deployments/base-8453.json` only.
- Do not commit `.env`, private keys, or secrets.
- Prefer linked spec paths over inferring behavior from memory.
